This nice small village is situated only 9 km away from the beautiful mountain town of Elena, 45 km away from Veliko Tarnovo and 70 km away from Sliven. The climate is continental with humid summer. The temperate climate and the fresh air are favorable for rehabilitation of asthma and pulmonary diseases. There are good conditions for hunting and fishing in the region, as well as a lot of sports and tourism facilities.
The town of Elena has played a significant part in the Bulgarian history, especially during the time of the Bulgarian National Revival from 18-19th century, by giving birth to some of the most prominent figures of this movement. In addition, it is abundant in unique examples of the achievements of the Bulgarian handicrafts and art from that time, very well preserved in the numerous houses – museums, built in the traditional Bulgarian style, where those important personalities from the Bulgarian history used to live. These houses and monuments, built in traditional style, will undoubtedly attract the attention of the lovers of exquisite Bulgarian properties.
